Due to the incoming severe weather threat, all after-school activities, including those for Spring sports, are cancelled for today. We will continue to monitor the weather if further adjustments are needed.

The Colonial Heights School Board announced today that it will begin the process of hiring a new superintendent by seeking public input on qualifications. Hard copies of the survey will also soon be available at the School Board Administration offices, at each of the schools, Colonial Heights Public Library, and Colonial Heights City Hall Welcome Center. In addition to the survey, the board will hold a public hearing at the regularly scheduled monthly school board meeting on February 25, 2025 at 6:30pm at the CHHS Tech Center (3451 Conduit Road). This year, CHPS joined the Beanstack family! Beanstack is a reading log software that allows all of our students to log their reading minutes, participate in reading challenges, and earn badges and rewards for their reading time. Beanstack has a mobile app that students can use at home from any tablet or phone. All they need is their ClassLink login! And YES, grown-up read-aloud sessions are encouraged and count towards their minutes 😉 Visit our website to download the app, learn how to log in it, and start reading with your child at home: https://www.colonialhts.net/o/chcps/page/beanstack

A huge shout out to the Fraternal Order of Eagles 882! They donated $2000 to Lakeview Elementary's PE fund! Last year, they made sure every student had a field day T-shirt and now they are helping us take our PE program to the next level! We appreciate your continued support! #EaglesGiveBack
